My name is Nasrin and I live in central Brighton with my small family. I have been making – and mending all kinds of clothes for over twenty-five years. I learned first from my mother and my grandmother, and still use some of their manual techniques for special designs. Sewing is my passion!
As well as garments, I have become interested recently in making household items such as curtains and cushions. During the pandemic I have made over 3000 durable masks, working in cooperation with a local charity, Thousand 4 £1000. Now that we can celebrate with friends and families again, many couples are preparing for their long-postponed weddings: I can help you make alterations to bridal wear if the lockdown has affected size-fittings.
My English is improving, although not yet fluent, but my husband and family help me with more complicated written instructions. This has become quite a family business! I can offer fittings at home – yours or mine – or can arrange to collect straightforward items if that suits you better.
Have a look at the photos of my work, read the reviews and see whether the sample prices suit your budget. I can usually undertake ‘emergency’ work at short notice, but this does cost a little more, as you will understand. As I work from home, I am able to keep my prices as low as possible.
